Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kinklusive and how did it come about?

Kinklusive is a celebration of BDSM and Fetish in Manchester planned for 12th November 2005. Kinklusive aims to be genuinely pansexual in scope, and to reflect the diversity of Manchester's Straight, Lesbian, Bi and Gay BDSM / Fetish / Leather scenes.

It came about following the desire from many sections of the community to have an event we could be proud of in the North that showed everything that was great about the community and scene based in and around Manchester. The date was chosen to avoid clashes with other local and national events (including KinkFest II in London in July, the Pride Week in Manchester at the end of August, and the Skin Two Rubber Ball weekend in London at the start of October.) and Kinklusive was born. The team includes people with a wealth of experience in organising events, from the scale of local munches up to large events such as Pervefest and the annual International Women's SM Conference in Manchester.

Is Kinklusive going to be an annual event?

No decision has yet been made whether it is going to become an annual event. This decision will be made after a review of the event (so please don't ask us on the weekend!)

Where will any profits be going?

One of two things will happen to any profits from the event:

If it is decided to hold further events then any profits will be used to organise and support future events. If we decide not to continue all assets of the group that remain will become the property of groups with similar objective to those of Kinklusive and it will be announced via the site which groups they are when it happens.

How can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be bought via our website

For those without internet access we accept cheque or postal orders through the post but these must be received by the 2nd November 2005. Please ensure that you give us details of what tickets you want to buy and where you want your ticket number sending either by email or post.

Please note to purchase tickets for Nemesis or advance Club Lash tickets then you must also be purchasing tickets for the Saturday or Sunday Daytime Event.

Are concessions / work exchange available?

Concessionary prices are available as is a work exchange program for those having difficulty affording the event. For more details of these contact info@kinklusive.org

Can I take pictures during the event?

Only authorized photographers will be permitted during the event. Unauthorised use of cameras or any other recording equipment is forbidden.

What is the dress code for the event?

During the day events there has not been a dress code set. Dress in whatever you feel comfortable wearing whether that is casual or fetish but please note full frontal nudity is not permitted.

For the evening events the dress code is Rubber, Leather, PVC, Drag, 50's, Uniform, Fancy Dress (The theme for the Fridays Lash event is 70’s Glam), Glamour and Goth. No Street Wear, jeans or trainer are allowed. If in doubt email us via info@kinklusive.org.uk and tell us what you want to wear and we’ll let you know if it's ok.

What is the party etiquette for the night events?

  • Keep it "Safe, Sane and Consensual" at all times.
  • You are responsible for your own safety, and the safety of your playmates at all times.
  • Do not get in the way or crowd scenes. If you are hit you have only yourself to blame.
  • The universal club safeword is RED. If you hear it, stop play immediately.
  • Respect the playspace. Clean up after messy scenes. Use a drop cloth when waxing.
  • Players get priority over voyeurs in the play areas. Please keep the area around the dungeon furniture clear if you are not playing.
  • Do not touch without permission. This applies to people, their equipment, clothes, toys or their subs.
  • Do not sit on the dungeon furniture. Furniture is for beating arses, not resting them.
  • Tell the Dungeon Monitors. They are there to ensure "Safe, Sane and Consensual" Play. It is their job to deal with serious breaches of etiquette, or offensive behaviour.

Please note for Club Lash stripping to the waist is fine, but frontal nudity is forbidden for licensing reasons.

What is the Manchester Fetish Map?

As part of the event publicity and promotion, we are developing an A3 (29.7 x 42 cms) "Fetish Map" which will include a map of Manchester City Centre, along with advertising space for BDSM orientated businesses and community Groups.

The Map itself will be widely distributed as part of the event itself and since the event will have people from all over the country attending, the advertising will be hitting a national audience.
